this was hard to make because it is a complicated shape to cut out, so I solved this by finding ways to connect the different areas. I first traced an image and cut it out with an exacto knife. Then I taped it down and spray painted it. the most difficult part of this was making each side symmetrical. I solved this by re doing it a lot. First I found a picture online of a bumblebee and then I sketched it and colored it in with colored pencils.

I was inspired by this : https://www.pinterest.com/artofapex/watercolor/
I picked watercolor because it was the medium that inspired me. Its similar to the piece It was inspired by because they are both watercolor landscapes. It is different because I chose my own landscape to paint. The texture of the trees is what I think worked best. If i did it over again I would change the way I colored the shadow of the mountain. My art movement was futurism. It started in Italy in the early 20th century and uses dark, futuristic themes such as airplanes, machinery, violence, urban settings, and geometric shapes. I did my cartoon character using geometric shapes to show the style of it.
Our theme was "the library" and this photo is the best because it uses lines and perspective to draw the eye into the focus point For my Two in One project, I combined the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" and a dog. I picked those two things because one is one of my favorite paintings and the other is my favorite animal. The thing I liked the most was how I did the shadows in the clothing, but next time I want to figure out how to give the clothing more detail. For the first observational drawing, I drew a deer skull. I used pencil and I observed the skull for reference. The hardest part of the drawing was making everything proportional and accurate. It was hard to draw the horns right because they ran off the page, but I put paper on the edges so I could keep drawing and make it look right. For this drawing, I started out sketching with a pencil and I alsocolored it in with a pencil. I looked at a picture of a pug in a suit for reference, but I also looked at suits alone. The hardest part of this drawing was making everything proportional and even. I had trouble lining up the eyes so they were not crooked. The Artist I chose is Sagaki Keita. He is from Tokyo, Japan. He uses solely pen and ink to make composite images of famous images such as the Mona Lisa, The Eiffel Tower, or the Great Wave Off Kanagawa. I find this artist really interesting because the great detail put into the work is amazing. I like all the small doodles and how he can put it all together to make a great picture, but still make the doodles look carefree. http://sagakikeita.com/ |
