For the first observational drawing, I drew a deer skull. I used pencil and I observed the skull for reference. The hardest part of the drawing was making everything proportional and accurate. It was hard to draw the horns right because they ran off the page, but I put paper on the edges so I could keep drawing and make it look right.
For this drawing, I started out sketching with a pencil and I alsocolored it in with a pencil. I looked at a picture of a pug in a suit for reference, but I also looked at suits alone. The hardest part of this drawing was making everything proportional and even. I had trouble lining up the eyes so they were not crooked. The Artist I chose is Sagaki Keita. He is from Tokyo, Japan. He uses solely pen and ink to make composite images of famous images such as the Mona Lisa, The Eiffel Tower, or the Great Wave Off Kanagawa. I find this artist really interesting because the great detail put into the work is amazing. I like all the small doodles and how he can put it all together to make a great picture, but still make the doodles look carefree. http://sagakikeita.com/ |
